Our rooms are rarely open to the public and for this reason it is often the room that receives the least attention and is the last to undergo a renovation, but there is always the time when something drastic must be done in a drab-looking room!

However, redesigning the bedroom can be a daunting prospect, so some useful tips and tricks are always welcome. Let's take a quick look at what can be done to redesign your tired bedroom (not sleepy sense).

It's best to first sort your furniture, and if you have bulky items that you like to dispose of, you may have more room to play. It can be a case of removing a few items and keeping a few others. Perhaps your closets have seen better times, and now is the time to move on to something more modern and tailor made. Cabinets with sliding doors could be the solution (depending on budget), as they offer a wealth of storage options that can help you change your space.

If you want a more elaborate pattern, you can use gray as the base color and paint the walls (sliding wardrobes are easy to adjust). With Gray as a starter you can choose almost any accent color. If the money is tight, you can just paint three walls and then find something pretty and pink as a design on the wall behind the bed. This probably means that you only need one paper roll, so you can select something with this additional quality feature.

If the existing carpet has a neutral color and is in a decent condition, it is probably best to store it. However, if it looks a bit worse, you can strip it off and use a varnish on the planks instead. You can add one or two soft gray carpets to create a luxurious feeling under your feet.

Mirrors are often a problem area in the bedroom, which could have been resolved with mirrored sliding doors. If you want to keep the ones you have, you can paint them with chairs and make-up table in a soft pink tone - that works pretty well with the scheme!

You could continue this pink theme with your curtains, and if you still have fabrics left, make yourself a runner for the bed to pull the scheme together. If you want to go one step further, cushion the headboard of your bed and some pillows to achieve a final flourish.
