Modern Ceiling Fans

Stylish ceiling fans for any room of your home with a modern farmhouse feel.

A modern ceiling fan is still a popular way to cool down after coming in from outside on a hot and wet summer afternoon. Although there is no air conditioning system that provides comfort, it is a cheaper way to cool yourself when you sweat a lot. The popularity is mainly due to the fact that it is cheap compared to the air conditioner.

Invented in the USA, the first fans were powered by the power of a turbine that was turned with the power of currents. The turbine was connected to the ceiling fan with a series of belts. Although bulky and loud, they served the purpose. The belts connected many fans to the turbine, allowing many rooms in a house to be ventilated. These original fans with only two wood blades were mainly used in restaurants. With the invention of electricity, the fan has been improved to work with electrical energy. Nevertheless, they only had two wooden blades. By the time the four-blade fan was designed to increase efficiency, the air conditioning system was already born.

The air conditioner became more popular in the US, the fan was not considered a comfort option in warm weather. As a result, the fan from the US was hidden. At a later date fans produced in other countries came to the US, but air conditioning is still the option.

In developing countries, the modern ceiling fan is still popular, as both the purchase and maintenance costs of the air conditioning are very high and are unattainable for ordinary citizens. Only in public buildings and offices that are currently air conditioned. Today's ceiling fans consist of three wings and are made of lightweight material such as aluminum.
